I was lucky enough to go on the Beatrix Potter's Scotland tour led by Helen and Betsy in May of 2019. I can't say enough about how wonderful the tour was. 'Bespoke' truly fits as everything seemed especially planned and customized for our sheer delight. Our group was wonderfully small, only 9 and we became friends in a short period of time....in fact, many were returns from previous Whitecroft tours but all were welcoming to new members and Helen immediately made everyone feel at home. The most special things we did as arranged by Helen were once in a lifetime - going behind the scenes to the archives in Blair Castle where we could see and touch priceless artifacts, including Bonnie Prince Charlie's gloves and a private tour and dinner at the same table where Queen Victoria ate in Scone Palace. Really?? YES, really! I highly recommend to anyone who is considering a tour to contact Whitecroft - don't delay if there is interest because they fill up fast. It truly exceeded my already high expectations and the memories made will last a lifetime.

Just returned from a superb, amazing, informative and fun-filled small group tour with the talented, knowledgeable and entertaining Helen Bertram and her sideline Betsy Blair, to Scotland's castles,, and environs. We stayed for a delightful week , in our home away from home, Ballathie House, which boasts of being "The middle of nowhere, in the middle of everywhere" To see it, and experience it is beyond imagination, situated as it is on the beloved and impressive wide River Tay , joy of all salmon fishermen. At Ballathie House we enjoyed delicious meals when not actively dining out elsewhere., or returning "Home"after a splendid day of adventure with our amazing guide in a lovely small van with excellent driver.

Helen is unique in her charming and skilled ability to seek out for our discovery, amazing events and places. At Blair Castle we toured the attic, laden with bygone treasure, and actually saw magnificent dresses from centuries ago...truly mind boggling. Our final night proved to be" la creme de la creme"...dining in the sumptuous main dining room that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert had enjoyed when in residence at Scone Palace. Rare is such an opportunity visited upon most tourists But the intrepid Helen of Whitecroft Traditional small Tours does seek out amazing unexpected treats for her clients, such as described above. !! I invite you to join her next time,on tour as spaces fills up quickly with eager returnees, including myself of course!!!

A Whitecroft tour is no ordinary tour….in fact it is not like a tour at all…..more like taking amazing day trips with a friend! Imagine unpacking your bags just once only where you will stay in a unique and historical location for the entire tour……no repacking each morning - bliss! Wake to a five star breakfast with a small group of soon to be friends as you wonder what the day will bring. The coach awaits you to take you to places that have been opened just for you….and maybe even the Lord and Lady of the Manor will show you around and make you a cup of tea! Each day ends with fine wine and dinner and all the time being cared for and treated like a friend……and not forgetting the unexpected surprises along the way! Lifelong memories like this will live with you forever

Such a cliche but truly a trip of a lifetime. Great people, beautiful places, gorgeous food and of course everything Jane. My only regret is that I can't do it again next year. Love love love it.

I had the most amazing time. This was definitely a trip of a lifetime. The places we went, the food, the company, everything was first class. Helen, Jane and Katrina are a class act. I wish I was going again in 2018
