Whitecroft Traditional Tours is a small established privately owned tour company, specialising in bespoke tours and workshops.

We are currently working on a new website, which we expect to be up and running in Autumn 2017 - we'll keep you posted on our progress!

Helen Bertram has been running the business for several years and she is passionate about the heritage of her home country.  Helen was born in Warwickshire - home of WIlliam Shakespeare and just north of the stunning area of the Cotswolds.   Educated in England, she spent two years at a Finishing School in London where she was able to study both embroidery, cookery, languages and as the college - St. Godrics - was based in Hampstead in London, a visit every week to a historic house or garden, both in London and around the country,  fuelled her enthusiasm for the wonderful experience that she now shares with her guests.

During the years when her children were young, Helen was Chairman of a local Flower and Garden Society and then Chairman of a 350 strong NADFAS Society (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts)     More recently she has been Chairman of the Beatrix Potter Society and was fortunate to do this during its 30th anniversary year and Helen was invited to lecture on Beatrix Potter on the Queen Mary, crossing the Atlantic.

She is now a grandmother and enjoys nothing more than sharing her experiences with guests from all over the world - and welcoming them back year after year - as well as reading the tales of Beatrix Potter to her grandchildren and looking forward to the day when she can encourage them to 'take up a little stitching'

The aim on our tours is to find hidden treasures and offer highest quality hotels, the highest quality guides and the highest quality organisation.

We organise tours and workshops all over the United Kingdom aimed at embroiderers, quilters, artists, historians and gardeners  - anyone who has an interest in the wonderful heritage and experiences that we have all around us.

Your every need is taken care of and, for people travelling alone, the knowledge that you will be amongst a group of like minded people.   We also include all meals - you are never left alone in a strange town or village to fend for yourself - we even take care of all your drinks at dinner - so you don't have to worry about that.     We want you to just sit back and relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about extra hidden costs or how to find your way around on your own.

We are also covered by TTA which is a recognised company giving us a bonding - which means that your payments are completely covered and no payments are at risk - giving you peace of mind when you book with us.

We very much look forward to welcoming you on one of our tours and workshops.

Helen Bertram
